Loan Officer Assistant

Description of Work: The primary role of the Residential/ Mixed-Use & Small Multi-family loan officer assistant is to make outbound sales calls. General Statement of Duties: Loan Officer assistant is responsible for generating qualified leads from solicitation through all channels. Major Duties and Responsibilities:    ·         Timely submission of application files to loan administration to ensure compliance with PART 202—EQUAL CREDIT OPPORTUNITY ACT (REGULATION B), specifically 202.9 -Notifications;       (a) Notification of action taken, ECOA notice, and statement of specific reasons — (1) When notification is required. A creditor shall notify an applicant of action taken within: (i) 30 days after receiving a completed application concerning the creditor's approval of, counteroffer to, or adverse       action on the application. Develop qualified leads from both existing and new business prospects to assist RMU’s financial objectives. Perform all activities required to meet or exceed solicitation goals. Actively engage in outbound sales calls and develop an ongoing list of qualified leads. Analyze cash flow of mixed-use/multifamily loan inquiries generated from the qualified list and negotiate mortgage terms with owners for those who demonstrate repayment ability. Assist with and facilitate processing and closing activities on files in the loan pipeline as requested from the underwriting and processing areas of the department. Develop and maintain strong relationships with other referral sources such as accountants, attorneys, prior clients of the bank and maturing loan clients. Cross sell other Flushing Bank products i.e. business checking, lease security accounts, remote deposit, business CD’s, etc. Provide consistent and optimum customer service to all clients by communicating clearly and thoroughly on the resolution of issues and recommending solutions. Support and preserve the operational integrity of the department and the bank by adhering to all policies and procedures of Flushing Bank. Minimum Qualifications:  College degree or equivalent experience Strong desire to succeed in mortgage lending field NMLS Registration   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong verbal and written communications skills Word and Excel spreadsheets                                                   EOE, including disability/veterans
