Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality sushi maki rolls in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled with care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sushi station
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate orders
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and consistency
- Assist in creating new menu items and seasonal offerings
- Perform prep work and assist in inventory management
- Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a sushi chef, specifically in maki preparation
- Knowledge of various fish and seafood preparation techniques
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume setting
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility with shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
