Position Description:
IT Project Managers are responsible for overseeing all aspects of any project in Flynns IT department. Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
Some of an IT Project Managers day-to-day duties include:
- Setting project goals and coming up with plans to meet those goals
- Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
- Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports
- Managing resources for projects, such as computer equipment and employees
- Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities
- Implementing IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget
- Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
- Conducting risk assessments for projects
- Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities
- 3-5 years experience in an IT Project Management role
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strongly preferred IT Infrastructure background (Servers, Storage, Networking, Telephony, Security)
- Experience managing medium to large sized IT projects.
- Capable of handling multiple projects at the same time, communication and coordination across teams and departments.
- Experience in Project portfolio management
- Enterprise technology deployments
- IT Compliance and data governance
- Documentation and reporting
- Retail and Restaurant project management a plus
- Excellent judgment, analytical and problem solving, the ability to work independently and as a team player, and ability to function in a highly confidential environment
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Highly organized and able to work with others
