Your role: FMI's Rhode Island facility is seeking Site Finance Leader who will serve as the primary contact for general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable and inventory accounting. Being the Site Finance Leader means you will possess an in-depth knowledge of accounting and cost management systems, as well as basic computer software and will support the site operations. You will also provide transactional oversight and support in the areas of general financial reporting to assure effective control of company assets and performance of the company.

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain, recommend and direct changes in operating procedures to improve efficiencies in payment and procurement processes (AR/AP)
- Maintain related production and inventory transactions in the accounting system
- Coordinate with management to ensure cost tracking and forecasting reports are consistently checked and applied
- Monitor and document project cost reports
- Performs analysis to predict potential inventory problems
- Stay up-to-date on project budgets and project spending
- Examine data to help with reducing costs in all operations
- Create and update various Excel forecast models
- Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general accounting and finance
- Accounting/GAAP knowledge
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of ERP systems and Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access)
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to complete projects timely and accurately
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work well with others in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with SAGE ERP System
