What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Assistant III position at Fond du Lac County, WI?
Under the general supervision of the ADRC Supervisor, answers telephones to schedule transportation for the Handi-Van, Escort Services, and Mobile Meals. Works with a collaborative team to assist in day to day operations for transportation and nutrition programs. Ensures drivers have sufficient monies on hand for services as well as counts and records fares collected. Arranges and records driver schedules. Assists with walk-in consumers coming into the unit. Daily SAMS data entry for record keeping and statistical data preparation.
- Answers all phone calls and walk-in consumers specific
- Assists in the scheduling of transportation and nutrition programs.
- Ensures drivers have sufficient change for fares. Assists with collection of fares and prepares daily depository statements.
- Prepares and organizes van driver’s schedules by determining the number of riders and route. Categories rides according to ride type and purpose.
- Completes daily and monthly statistical data collection as well as daily SAMS data entry.
- Assists clients and volunteers for aging programs as necessary.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting programs and procedures.
- Competent Computer Skills and computer experience.
- A demonstrated ability to empathize with agency clients.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license

- Auto insurance consistent with the Fond du Lac County fleet policy
- Willingness to utilize personal vehicle as necessary to perform job duties and responsibilities.
