The Foothills Area YMCA Swim Team is a competitive USA/YMCA program with a growing and ever improving roster of motivated swimmers. Swimmers range from beginners up to Y National level competitors. We are hoping to find a coach to match their energy level and excitement, and also bring their expertise to the swimmers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Assistant Swim Coach provides a superior experience to members and program participants by assisting in leading swim team practices in a safe and effective manner. The Coach will also respond to member needs, provide customer service, and maintain a safe aquatics environment. The Assistant Coach will be helping with multiple practice groups while leading one age group (12&under swimmers). They will report to the head coach and help develop a season plan for the swimmers. The candidate will be required to attend meets as designated by the head coach.
Provide timely and accurate feedback to participants (or parents) about their progress and skills they need to work on.
Consults with Head Coach to make sure participants are incorporating new skills and drills to keep them learning and growing.
Reports to work on time

3-8 hours of on deck coaching per week in evenings and some weekends
USA Coach required within first 90 days of hire
CPR/First Aid/Lifeguarding certification within the first 60 days of hire
Leaves the area in a clean and orderly condition by ensuring all equipment is returned to its appropriate area.
Maintains required instructional certifications.
Salary : $9 - $15
