Position: Climbing Wall Instructor/Attendant
Pay Rate: $14.00/hour

As a Climbing Wall Attendant/Instructor, you will provide general climbing instruction and guidance in a fun, enthusiastic, and safe environment. This position will monitor the rock wall area to ensure the safety of all climbers and provide instruction to all levels of climbers during lessons and rentals.
Job Duties:
- Provide climbing wall safety orientations with first time wall users and instruction & techniques during classes, parities, private lessons, clubs, etc. Provide organized climbing instruction in a fun, enthusiastic, and safe environment.
- Explain and demonstrate climbing equipment, techniques, and hand and feet climbing methods. Instruct and illustrate tying knots, climbing, and belaying for climbers. Outfit inexperienced climbers in seat/body harness, tie in and belay climbers.
- Monitor climbing wall area and volume of climbers on the wall to ensure safety of all.
- Verify that all climbing wall users have proper documentation and have successfully completed adequate training prior to climbing wall usage.
- Maintain documentation associated with climbing wall certifications and accident reports.
- Prevent accidents by communicating policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Enforces all policies.
Required Experience:
Our ideal candidate will have:
- One year demonstrated climbing experience (indoors or outdoors).
- Experience instructing climbing programs to both youth and adults preferred.
- Knowledge and use of knots, harnesses, ad belaying.
- Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application..
