What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Foothills Physical Therapy?
(Foothills Physical Therapy is looking to hire a full-time medical receptionist. The position we have available will be at our Eagle clinic M-F from 10am to 6pm. This is a permanent position with lots of growth opportunities.
Starting pay $16.00 per hour, with the potential of an increase at the 90-day review depending on performance once job duties have been established.
(6) holidays & (10) vacation after 90-days of employment; all paid on the average hours worked for that day.
After (1) year of employment, participation in our 401k Plan is available with FPT contributing 3% per pay period. To qualify for Foothills’ 401k, plan a minimum of 1000 hours a year must be worked.
Yearly wage increases available depending on individual’s performance; along with receiving an annual holiday bonus, depending on the performance of the organization.
Job Duties Include:
- Prior authorizations.
- Preparing next day schedules.
- Preparing patient charts.
- Checking insurance benefits prior to patient appointment.
- Daily laundry.
- Organizing faxes in a teams faxing system.
- Correcting patient account information.
- Calling provider referrals.
- Answering phones.
- Creating patient accounts.
- Discharging patient accounts.
- Collecting patient balance/payments.
- Filling schedules.
- Attending to therapist and patient needs.
- Preparing medical records.
- Inventory.
