What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Specialist position at FORD COMPONENT SALES?

Ford Component Sales, LLC (FCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company aligned with the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD). We are a flexible sales organization that directs resources toward revenue opportunities identified by FCSD.

We are in search of a Supply Chain Specialist that coordinates, tracks, addresses customer, supplier issues, internal issues, external issues, communicates, and reports issues/resolutions within the supply chain. On a contract basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Coordinates and resolves
    • ASN issues
    • Quantity discrepancies
    • Missing shipments
    • Quality issues (claims & returns)
    • Packaging issues
    • Filing shipping notifications


  • Holds weekly meetings with packagers


  • Soft purchase orders and invoice reconciliations (including broker fees, packaging, etc.)


  • Specialty packaging program coordination


  • All communications to/from packagers


  • Other duties may be assigned


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
