What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asset Management Technician position at Forest Park Forever Inc?
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Perform a range of facility operations and maintenance duties serving under the Facility & Security Manager
- Work with building custodial staff ensuring FPF facilities and surrounding areas are maintained with high quality standards for cleanliness, orderliness and facility appearance
- Assist with room rentals, setup/breakdown, locker room memberships, facility maintenance & the coordination of multiple simultaneous visitor and employee uses of FPF facilities to prevent space and time conflicts.
- Work and collaborate with key stakeholders or departments to coordinate timing of building maintenance, repair & operations, visitor facility uses and events.
- Assist in the monitoring and maintenance & repair of facility safety and security systems, and support Facility & Security Manager in ensuring safety and security standards, policies and procedures. Keep operations current with facility changes and industry standards.
- Greet Park visitors warmly and assist with their inquiries.
- Address Park visitor concerns timely and provide for a positive visitor experience.
- Contribute to team production timelines and adherence to deadlines.
- Provide support for Forest Park Forever special events.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in asset and data management or similar role preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strict attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work. Interest in parks and green spaces and their role in individual and community wellbeing and health.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
LICENSE(S)/CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED:
- A valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS/WORK CONDITIONS:
- Operation of computers and other office equipment. Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Routinely works in outdoor public space and indoor office environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Standing for extended periods of time. Perform physical tasks related to building maintenance and facility operations.
- The reporting location for this position will generally be onsite with possible flexibility for remote work no more than 2 days per week.
- Traverse uneven park terrain during events and to better understand spaces maintained by Forest Park Forever.
Serving under the Director of Forest Park Forever’s Department of Park & Planning (DPP), performs a range of technical and operational duties involving asset management data collection, management and reporting. The position also assists with other duties collaborating with Forest Park Forever (FPF) staff with a focus on park asset management while advancing FPF’s mission to restore, operate, maintain & sustain Forest Park and its assets.
