DescriptionFUNCTIONS OF THE JOB : Develop and lead visual initiatives that move our brand forwardGovern how the Forest Park Forever brand shows up in the worldDesign print projects, including annual reports, newsletters, brochures, in-park signage and advertisements.Design custom digital graphics (including interactive) for our websites, e-newsletters and social channelsCreate themes / brands for individual events and design accompanying collateralWork with photographers and Communications & Marketing team members to chronicle our conservancy's work and the visitor experienceWork with videographers and team members on special projectsCreate and / or oversee creation of Forest Park Forever merchandise when applicableExecute incoming print and digital design projects for colleaguesEnsure FPF brand standards are followed by fellow staff and third-party agenciesManage our extensive digital photo and video archiveOversee creation and production of FPF collateralWork with printers on production (guiding projects through entire cycle)Manage contracted design or production support during particularly busy timesProvide guidance on working with printer vendors and calibrating to brand standardsRequirementsPOSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in related field5 years of relevant professional design experience (nonprofit experience a plus)Knowledgeable and passionate about branding and visual communicationsExperience working with photographersExperience creating and organizing multiple visual assets around a single theme / eventExperience working with printers on production mattersHappily at home in both the print and digital worldsProven ability to prioritize assignments, manage workflows and deliver material on timeExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with many internal clientsTop-notch Adobe Creative Suite skillsExperience with collaborative project management systems (Basecamp, e.g.)Collaborative, upbeat attitudeAn appreciation for what green spaces like Forest Park provide the worldPhysical Work Requirements / Work Conditions Constantly works at computer to perform graphic design Comfort working in a collaborative office environmentAPPLICATION NOTESPlease include : A cover letter that explains your interest and what makes you a competitive candidate.A portfolio (via link to web-based portfolio or uploading a PDF) of 4-7 design projects you created that most align with the work you'd be doing with Forest Park Forever.
