What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant position at Forever Young Men and Womens Health Clinic?
- Obtains vitals, chief complaint, and current history for each patient
- Communicates patient/family healthcare needs to the appropriate healthcare provider
- Assists provider during minor procedures as requested
- Completes laboratory tests, or prepares request forms for tests ordered by provider
- Monitors patients to assure their comfort, privacy and safety
- Assures concise reporting and documentation of information
- Requests/sends medical records or test results from/to appropriate departments
- Utilizes and accounts for all resources
- Prepares medical/procedural equipment for sterilization and ensures all patient care equipment is in proper working order
- Maintains patient data and records
- Ensures adequate inventory of supplies
Required Qualifications:Education: High school diploma
Preferred Qualifications:Education: Medical Terminology and/or Fundamentals in Nursing Courses or Phlebotomy
Licensure: Certified Nursing Assistant or Phlebotomy
Experience: One (1) year as a nursing assistant, phlebotomist or similar role in a clinical setting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
