What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver position at FORMULIFE, LLC?
The Truck Driver will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, and stack products in the warehouse and driving a box truck, or truck and trailer, to deliver goods to various locations. Occasional yard shifting of trailers may be required. This role combines warehouse duties with driving and delivery responsibilities, ensuring that products are handled and transported safely and efficiently.
In the absence of the Truck Driver, the Warehouse Lead, will oversee the daily duties and responsibilities regarding operation workflow and adherence of the SOPs and cGMPs.
Employee Responsibilities
- Adhere to cGMP and SOPs.
- Report any situations that might have a negative effect on food safety or quality immediately to supervisor or QA Department.
- Ensure food safety and quality are maintained according to company standards.
- Comply with policies and procedures to prepare and pack products under sanitary conditions that do not expose it to the risk of contamination.
- Operate and maintain a clean and hygienic standard of operation. Follow Company cGMP’s (Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Policies at all times)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver materials to both company-owned sites and various customer locations.
- Assist with various warehouse tasks, such as picking, packing, material handling, inventory management, receiving, and putting away.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse and delivery operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and operational guidelines.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Load and unload materials from the truck, ensuring they are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate delivery records.
- Ability to work overtime several days per week.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Food safety standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of cGMPs
- Ability to manage processes and procedures.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and compliance to DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements and regulations.
- Ability to manage their work effectively.
- Ability to work in an environment with inside/outside extreme temperatures and in noisy environments.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Commercial Driver’s License to drive large and heavy vehicles.
- Forklift certification and proven experience operating a forklift.
- Experience driving a box truck, a CDL or similar vehicle.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
