What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Veterinary Technician position at Fort Henry Animal Hospital?
Experienced veterinary technician needed for busy small animal hospital. Must have veterinary experience! Must be reliable and willing to work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides direct medical care to animals, including performing intake and medical exams; administering prescribed treatments.
- Assists with surgery and other veterinary procedures.
- Reports urgent cases to the veterinarian; and monitors patient progress.
- Maintains medical records, equipment, medications and facilities in the shelter.
- Provides professional and respectful client education and service to staff as needed.
- Clean and medicate all sick pets in hospital.
- Distribute medication to pets as prescribed daily.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have some surgical experience
- Must be passionate about animals
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Prior veterinary clinic, or animal control experience required.
- Must be computer literate.
