As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll assist our veterinarians in providing top-notch medical care, handling both clinical and technical responsibilities. You’ll be hands-on with patients, support surgery prep, administer treatments, and educate clients on pet care and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries
- Perform blood draws, IV catheter placements, and lab sample collection
- Monitor anesthesia and post-operative recovery of patients
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
- Educate and communicate with clients on pet care and medical instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment are clean and stocked
- Provide compassionate care and handling of animals in all situations
Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician Certification (LVT, CVT, or RVT) preferred
- 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital
- Proficient in animal handling, restraint, and basic clinical procedures
- Knowledge of veterinary software (e.g., AVImark) is a plus
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about animals and committed to excellent care
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
