First, some of the things you will need are a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 3 years’ relevant experience is preferred.
Second, in this position you will install, configure, update, and maintain server hardware and software and network hardware and software. You’ll Install patches and updates per department process and schedule and perform server and network monitoring for performance bottlenecks, security breaches, efficiency of servers, down time warnings, and other errors. The Systems Administrator will troubleshoot hardware and software failures and replace, or repair as needed, and verify and test backup operations per Fort Wayne Metals IT established standards. You’ll maintain and implement security measures to protect data, software, and hardware, and evaluate and recommend infrastructure purchases to support system efficiency and growth.
