Summary of Position:
In collaboration with the Dean of Nursing, the Assistant Dean of Nursing will provide leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Nursing Program. This involves assisting with recruitment and hiring of new faculty, creating course schedules, facilitating curriculum development, participating in program evaluation, and assisting in the resolution of student and faculty issues. Possible teaching duties as needed. Will interact regularly with other departments at the college with the respect to the needs of the Nursing Program. Serves as the Dean of Nursing in his/her absence.

Qualifications:
- Current active unencumbered licenses as an RN or APRN in the state of FL or multistate privilege to practice in FL
- Graduated from an approved professional nursing education program
- Bachelor degree in Nursing and a Master degree or Doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field
- At least 5 years of practice experience as an RN/APRN with at least 2 years of teaching in a professional nursing education program
- At least 1 year of experience in management
- Competent in personal computer applications: MS Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills
- Ability to serve as a positive, supportive and enthusiastic role model for the students
- Successful completion of criminal background check, drug screening, appropriate immunizations, and CPR and HIPAA certifications
Classification: Exempt, salaried position
Work hours: 40 hours per week, but hours may vary daily and include evening/weekend hours
Salary: $97K/yr
