We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Admissions Advisor to join our team. As an Admissions Advisor, you will play a crucial role in recruiting and enrolling students into our educational programs. You will have the opportunity to educate prospective students about our institution, guide them through the admissions process, and provide academic advising to help them make informed decisions about their education.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit and enroll students by conducting outreach activities and attending college fairs
- Provide information about our institution, programs, and admission requirements to prospective students
- Conduct individual and group admissions counseling sessions
- Assist students with the application process, including reviewing applications and supporting documentation
- Evaluate transcripts and transfer credits to determine eligibility for admission
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth transition for admitted students
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records using our Ellucian system
- Assist with orientation programs for new students
- Stay informed about current trends and developments in education administration and academic advising
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Knowledge of education administration processes and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in using CampusVue, Vanilla Soft or similar student information systems is preferred
