Job Summary
Operate and maintain web press machines and equipment. This is a 2nd shift position, Monday - Friday, 2pm - 10pm.
Essential Functions
- Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain printing presses.
- Monitor the printing process to maintain print quality and consistency.
- Adjust ink, tension, and register as necessary.
- Troubleshoot common press issues.
- Ensure that the final print meets quality standards and client specifications.
- Responsible for routine maintenance on press and printing equipment, and general housekeeping.
- Collaborate with other team members.
- Abide by all OSHA regulations and other established company safety policies.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Press mechanics and control systems.
- Job ticket and proof interpretation.
- Substrate behavior and material handling.
- Color management fundamentals using densitometer.
- Plate hanging and blanket replacement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a web press is preferred (Goss or DGM).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Expected compensation for this role is between $20 and $23/hour, based on qualifications and experience.
