Cabinet Specialist

We are looking for a Cabinet Specialist to assist our design team at Forward Design Build Remodel. This position will focus on design and ordering of cabinetry, and supporting project designers for our residential remodeling projects in the greater Ann Arbor area.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial cabinet design and layout

• Work with designer for final cabinet design and quoting

• Order cabinetry materials for all job sites in a timely manner

• Work with cabinet manufacturers to establish lead times and stay up to date on training

• Provide all receipts for purchases and enter in Credit Card form in Smartsheet software for accounting

• Return damaged items and arrange replacement

• Assist Design Team on multiple projects at varying stages of design

• Attend site field measurements, surveying existing conditions

• Assist in the development of presentation items, including: CAD Drawings, schedules, & selection cut sheets

• Perform research and work with vendors in product selection & pricing

• Develop and produce construction documents and detail sketches

• Manage files & organize documentation

Required Education/Experience

• 2-5 years’ experience in cabinet management required

• Associate degree or college degree preferred

• Prior cabinetry program knowledge and experience is preferred

• 20 20 knowledge is a plus

• Prior kitchen and bathroom design experience highly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Experience:

• cabinet management: 2 years (Preferred)
