Mechanical Designer

Forward Engineers is currently hiring for a full-time mechanical designer position at our office in Rogers, AR. Primary responsibilities include HVAC and plumbing design for commercial buildings utilizing 3D design software (Autodesk Revit). Additional duties include project site visits, electrical design, building energy usage analysis and HVAC load calculations. Working hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:00pm. Starting salary will be negotiated with the selected applicant based on experience but typically ranges between $50,000 to $75,000/year. Start date can be negotiated, but Forward Engineers is looking to fill this position immediately.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, but relevant work experience in design or construction will also be considered. No previous design experience is required. Applicants should be be experienced in computer usage including email and Microsoft Excel. Any CAD experience will be valuable, particularly 3D CAD programs. Soft sills such as customer service, attention to detail, organization, writing ability and problem solving will be a major benefit.

We also will pay membership dues for membership in a job-related professional organization (i.e. ASHRAE, ASPE).
