Pharmacy Technician I

• Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis

• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist

• Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information directly into the system

• Prepare and submit request for prescription refills

• Initiate clarification requests

• Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation

• Complete reorder processing for the timely filling of prescription refills

• Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and company policies

• Complete work list according to guidelines set by Manager
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Complies with all policies and standards

This position is 100% on site in Chesterfield, MO.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 1 years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.

Licenses/Certifications: Current state’s Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.

Foundation Care: Licenses/Certifications: Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license OR the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
