Foundation for Blind Children is currently seeking qualified candidates for a full time Inventory Coordinator position supporting our Media Center at our Central Campus in Phoenix! This position is part of our Media Center Team which produces braille and large print texts for students in Arizona and around the country. This position is 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Foundation for Blind Children (FBC) is a high profile, nationally recognized non-profit in Phoenix, Arizona. The purpose of the Inventory Coordinator position is to manage the inventory accuracy of the Media Center and to fulfill inventory requests. Regular duties include student registration, receiving and stocking inventory, and the completion of Federal Quota orders.
Duties include:
- Maintain an accurate database of the library
- Prepare orders of material and equipment for staff and volunteers
- Manage shipping and receiving of supplies/products
- Track and monitor spending on products
- Process returns of materials back into inventory
- Identify areas of improvement and support coworkers with additional duties as needed
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and inventory space
Qualifications
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and basic computer skills required
- Experience working in electronic database systems required
- Knowledge of basic office procedures and equipment required
- Ability to work well in a team-based environment
Physical Requirements
- Lifting/Pushing/Pulling:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
- Manual dexterity sufficient to use a calculator, telephone, and other general office equipment, enter information on the computer and read numbers and reports.
