Position Details
The FACILITIES MANAGER is responsible for providing facility preventative maintenance, asset management service, internal and external customer support, complete and timely documentation as required and oversee's the responsible work performance expectations established by the Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees facility operations at all sites
- Actively participates in planning activities for all AHNI properties
- Responsible for coordinating delivery, evaluation and improvement of AHNI properties
- Manages facility fiscal/grant and budgeted aspects of AHNI properties
- Manages AHNI grounds/buildings to reduce or eliminate risk
- Actively participates as liaison for assigned local and community contacts
- Assists in the development and administration of annual AHNI facility budget
- Develops/maintains systems to assure the responsible management of the AHNI housing and maintenance assets
- Demonstrates proactive accountability for AHNI maintenance and facility assets
- Provides preventative maintenance planning to assure the timely testing of facility assets
- Responsive to requests for servicing and information per identified standards
- Oversees the coordination of AHNI maintenance allocations, communicating effectively with other lead AHNI staff and helping to maximize occupancy for all sites
- Initiates, coordinates and prioritizes required repair and maintenance needs
- Proactively anticipates risk management concerns and alleviates/reduces risk
- Performs a range of functions, including hiring, establishing expectations, performance tracking and feedback, and employee relations
- Develops and leads a cohesive team in support of agency mission, goals and values.
- Directs all work from assigned area to assure that unit goals are achieved
- Interprets operational policies and procedures for assigned staff
- Completes probationary and annual employee performance reviews effectively and within established timelines
- Ensures that all required trainings for the team are completed on time
- Identifies and resolves barriers to achieving goal attainment
Qualifications & Program Information
Education/Experience:
A High School diploma or GED plus ten years experience in maintaining facilities OR equivalent related experience. Previous supervisory is experience is preferred. Additional requirements include:
- Basic to intermediate computer skills in a MS Office environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner
Physical Requirements:
Maintenance work performed typically while walking and standing. Must have physical ability to work standing for extended periods. Must have the ability to inspect and evaluate all mechanical aspects of the building. Must have the ability to climb heights. Must able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Must know and consistently utilize OSHA recommended techniques for pushing, pulling and carrying. Must be able to safely operate mowing and snow-removal equipment. Must be able to work in an environment that exposes employee to potential minor injuries and frequently adverse weather. Must be able to handle frequent and regular contacts with internal staff for the purposes of addressing specific maintenance requests.
