As a CNA, Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Assist in providing safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Provide quality nursing care to residents in a safe, clean and efficient environment which promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and their individuality.
CNA STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
- Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Four Winds and the facility.
- Requires infrequent sitting, crawling, kneeling, climbing; occasional squatting/crouching; frequent balancing, reaching, twisting/turning, bending, stooping; and continuous standing and walking. Requires the use of hands with possible repetitive motion. Demonstrates proper body mechanics and ability to do frequent pushing/pulling of up to 20 pounds, frequent lifting and assisting of resident and ability to do occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment.
- Supports and implements safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.
- Maintains confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data.
- Ensure quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Compliant with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior.
- Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment.
- Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
- Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or residents regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns.
- Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
- Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.
