Physical Therapist

Master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited educational institution.

ï‚· Passed the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE)

ï‚· Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)-accredited residency program

ï‚· A valid license to practice physical therapy

ï‚· Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices

ï‚· Ability to solve problems independently

ï‚· Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level

ï‚· Ability to use a computer and software proficiently

ï‚· Drive to continually learn new treatment techniques

ï‚· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (with AED)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ï‚· This position supervises Physical Therapy Assistants

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

ï‚· This job operates in a health care setting. This role requires regular walking to various locations around the care center.

ï‚· Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease and infection from patients and specimens in working environment.

ï‚· Incumbent may be required to work extended periods of time at a video display terminal.

ï‚· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
