About Foxfire Golf and Country Club

Foxfire is a private, bundled golf community in southwest Florida with 931 housing units governed by a Master Association Board of Directors. Our annual budget is $8.5 million with 100 employees. Our 27-hole golf course and amenity offerings are undergoing significant improvements for our members. Foxfire has 17 neighborhood associations within our community with their own governing entities.

Position Summary

Foxfire Golf and Country Club is looking for a valued team member to assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of Clubhouse dining facilities. Ensures timeliness of food service. Supervises and trains Clubhouse dining staff. Manages payroll within budgetary restraints. Trains front of house food and beverage personnel with the objective of maximizing the sales and profitability and member service of the Clubhouse dining facilities. Handles daily team member relations and encourages problem solving by team members through proper training and empowerment.

Position Responsibilities

· Responsible for overseeing the activities in the Food and Beverage Department on a daily basis including: Main Dining Room, Grille Room, Boardroom, Meeting Rooms, Library, and Halfway House, or as otherwise designated and assigned.

o Daily menu specials

o Floor plans

o Staff assignments

· Write, monitor and post weekly work schedules and review them with the F&B Director.

· Assist the F&B Director daily in checking the servers/bartenders reports to assure accuracy.

o Correct numbers of checks

o Correct daily covers

· Monitor and enforce departmental policies and objectives for the F&B Department daily.

· Hire, train, coach, supervise and counsel all Front Of the House “FOH” personnel in line with the training procedures and training manual developed by the F&B Department to professionally carry out their daily duties in an environment conducive to their goal.

· Administer corrective and progressive disciplinary actions within the guidelines set forth by the Employee Handbook when necessary.

· Oversee ongoing development of team members in regard to exceptional service for Foxfire members and their guests on a daily basis.

· Responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the computerized weekly calendar for members pertaining to the Clubhouse area.

· Order linen weekly for events and dinner demands.

· To enforce the Clubhouse Dress Code, Smoking Code, and Cell Phone Policy per member’s directory daily.

· Assist the F&B Director in updating departmental objectives, policies and procedures during off season to effectively and efficiently run the department and to meet budgetary constraints

Responsibilities in Absence of the Food and Beverage Director

· Generate invoices to their appropriate codes.

· Prepare daily and monthly reports for the General Manager and Controller as required.

· Responsible for the correct input of bi-weekly payroll to the Administration Office and the distribution of checks on payday.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

· Knowledge of front and back of the house programs.

· Knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and Office Publisher/Print Shop programs.

· Knowledge of beverages to include beers, wines, and liquors.

· General knowledge of inventory systems and correct ordering of beverages.

· General knowledge of hiring practices and Human Resource manuals.

· Knowledge of scheduling for front of the house employees.

· Knowledge of proper service standards.

· Use of proper safety standards in Clubhouse closing procedures.

· Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the Club.

· Must be in compliance with and actively support a drug-free workplace.

Education, Licenses, and Experience

· High school diploma required, Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree(s) in Business, Hospitality or similar field preferred.

  • Experience in hospitality, restaurants, country clubs is strongly preferred.
  • Food safety certification – ServSafe.
  • Alcoholic beverage certification – TIPS.
  • Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.

Salary Range

Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

· This is a full-time year-round onsite position.

· Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.

· Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.

· Continuous repetitive motions.

· Work in hot/cold, humid and noisy environment.
