WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Recruit members of coalition core youth team, facilitate their training and coordinate youth involvement in presentations, events and advocacy efforts.
Coordinate youth involvement in Standardized Tobacco Assessment for Retails Settings (STARS) surveys and school involvement in Youth Tobacco
Work with partners on developing program materials and media campaigns for tobacco-prevention efforts for youth and adults.
Assist Program Coordinator with outreach to public and private policymaking officials to promote comprehensive tobacco-free ordinances and policies throughout Lake County.
Attend coalition meetings/events and conduct outreach and engagement with current and potential coalition members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree in Public Health, Marketing or related area required
4 years of science/applied science required
1 year of experience within Lake County Community required
1 year of working with high school youth in a collaborative setting required
This position will serve Lake County. Join us as we begin providing a host of new programs and services for our Northwest Indiana communities! You'll work with other tobacco grant coordinators and others to reduce the rate of tobacco use in this area. Office space is available in Hammond, Munster, and Crown Point.
