Healthcare Educator

The Infection Preventionist/Education Coordinator is a key member of the Franciscan Ministries team, responsible for planning and implementing health programs, educational training for staff, and infection control processes to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Nursing Education Responsibilities

• Directs the education of associates in the community.
• Coordinates new hire orientation process and ongoing education for all staff.
• Onboarding and training for all new nurses and CNAs.
• Coordinates with nursing schools, colleges, and high schools for clinical programs.

Infection Control Responsibilities

• Develops and implements an ongoing infection prevention/control program to prevent, recognize, and control the onset/spread of infections.
• Serves as primary contact for community on all infection control outbreaks and prevention.
• Stays current and compliant with state, federal, IDPH, CMS, and CDC guidelines.

This role requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to quality improvement.
