Duties
- Assessing, treating, and monitoring wounds of patients
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive wound care plans
- Educating patients and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Documenting patient progress and treatment plans in medical records
- Implementing infection control measures to prevent wound-related complications
- Utilizing medical imaging and sonography for wound assessment
- Providing specialized wound care for patients with pediatric, PICU, or dementia care needs
- Participating in critical care transport as needed
Skills
- Proficiency in wound assessment and treatment
- Knowledge of medical systems and procedures related to wound care
- Experience with PICU or critical care transport is a plus
- Familiarity with alimentary requirements for wound healing
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality
- Strong understanding of infection control practices
- Skill in utilizing medical imaging and sonography for wound evaluation
