Based in Boynton Beach, we have an immediate opening for you to become the next Personal Injury Attorney at our firm. You must have at least 1 year of experience as an attorney handling personal injury cases or, alternatively, at least 2 years of experience working as a prosecutor or public defender. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated looking for growth opportunities and have an impeccable standing with the Florida Bar.
In this role, you will focus on providing aggressive, effective, ethical representation to each individual client. You will be handling a large caseload; therefore, the ideal candidate must have strong communication and negotiation skills as well as be solution-oriented. You must also be able to stay focused and organized as well as meet deadlines. We are willing to train you to become the best attorney you can be.
Compensation:$70,000 - $135,000 salary performance bonuses
Responsibilities:- Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
- Settle on the clients’ behalf when appropriate and negotiate reasonable agreements
- Interview clients, supporting witnesses, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to collect information
- Maintain updated status documentation of all case files in the case management system
- Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
- Appear as legal counsel on the clients’ behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigation
- A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is desired
- Superb drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills are preferred
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree
- Florida licensed attorney in good standing with Florida Bar, with no disciplinary or malpractice history
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an attorney handling personal injury cases or, alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of experience as a prosecutor or public defender
- Self-starter, driven by long-term career goals
- Superior oral and written advocacy skills
