Description
Summary
- Provides assistance in loss prevention and performs clerical duties to support the recovery, analytic and compliance related responsibilities of Risk Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviews checks through a Deposit Capture Platform, on a daily basis, for proper check holds, potential fraud, and accuracy of deposit.
- Contacts and effectively communicates with members, peers, and front-line staff, as needed via multiple channels (phone, email, secure messages) to validate information and confirm authorization of transactions or other account activity.
- Assists in reviewing alerts in the Transaction Monitoring System (TMS) and other programs.
- Provides assistance with case management related to potential fraud
- Serves as a point person for department administrative processes.
- Supports department related projects, as needed.
- Participates in department initiatives to improve efficiencies and remain up to date on fraud trends.
- Is responsible for adhering to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to ensure the safety and soundness of the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union and its members.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School diploma with at least 1 year of experience working for a financial institution, or equivalent experience
