What are the responsibilities and job description for the ABA TUTORS position at Franklin Public Schools?
The Franklin Public Schools, a Prek-12 district, is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated individual to work as a 1:1 ABA tutor in the Partner Program in the district. The Partner Program is a classroom supported by both the Franklin Public Schools and the New England Center for Children (NECC). Using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the program is designed to help children diagnosed with Autism reach their full potential. The students receive highly specialized instruction to each child with inclusion opportunities provided and supported as appropriate.
The ABA Tutor position is a year round position. This work is performed in the classroom under the direct supervision of a Masters level Head Teacher and BCBA supervisor. Training is provided and is on-going.Job Responsibilities of the ABA Tutor include: -Aiding in planning and implementing academic and behavioral programming for assigned student in collaboration with other members of the team-Recording and summarizing data-Writing progress reports-Meeting regularly with team members and parents-Carrying over therapies (OT, PT, Speech and Language)- Modifying general education curriculum/expectations to meet students needs and skill level to insure successful inclusion experiences-Actively participate in ongoing training-Work closely with other team members-Providing home services with families -Compensation: $20.20/hour -Hours: Summer and School year 35 hours/weekWe understand that our collective success depends on the robust exchange of ideasan exchange that is best when the rich diversity of our perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences flourishes.
