Operations Specialist
(Electronic Services Concentration )
Non-Exempt

Service Criteria

General Purpose

In accordance with established policies and procedures, the incumbent provides timely and proficient electronic banking support for staff and bank customers. In addition, this position supports a variety of other operational functions as described. This position is accountable to the Deposit Operations Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deposit Operations Processing (Electronic Services Concentration)

- Process various management, fraud and exception reports.

- Review Business Online ACH activity via Guardian Analytics, and bring any concerns about unusual activity to management.

- Review Merchant Capture activity daily.

- Accept/Reject mobile and ATM deposits received, and set holds as necessary.

- Archive various reports into the Bank’s document management system.

- Perform Business Online Banking setups and support.

- Resposible for data entry of Business Online Banking & Merchant Capture customer information.

- Responsible for Merchant Capture installations and onsite reviews.

- Create and update assigned departmental procedures.

- Perform staff and customer training when necessary.

- Assists with internal and external audits.

- Performs miscellaneous file maintenance.

- Daily File maintenance reviews.

- Call Fiserv for electronic service support relating to online channels.

- Compile information for management reports.




  • Support

- Provides electronic services support for Bank’s employees and customers as necessary.

- Scan various documents into Bank’s document management system.

- Serves as a backup for duties primarily performed by others in the department
(ATM/Debit Card, Account Maintenance, etc.).

- Process outgoing and incoming wires (domestic and foreign).

- Provide secondary support for the IT Department with regards to data processing systems.

- Performs additional duties as required.

Skills/Experience/Training Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Two to three years of deposit operations and electronic services experience preferred with a good working knowledge of electronic banking applications and regulations pertaining to electronic applications.

A demonstrated skill in the use of personal computers, applications and associated hardware is required.

As travel to various locations may be necessary, a valid driver’s license is required.

Working Conditions:

Normally seated with the freedom of movement on a regular basis.

Some physical effort is needed in working with materials and supplies which may involve some lifting.

Frequent operation of personal computers and other office equipment requiring visual attention, dexterity and coordination.
