Job Description
The Operations Assistant is responsible for assisting the Stadium Operations Manager with the entire operation of the stadium. This can include trouble shooting, minor repairs and inspections, set up, and more to ensure the stadium is ready for games and events. The assistant will help to maintain the smooth functioning of the stadium, ensuring a positive experience for both guests and staff.
Qualifications
- Individual seeking entry into sports industry with a focus on Operations
- Background in stadium management /event management preferred but not required
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
- Superior problem-solver with ability to work independently
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have fun
- Must be a team player with leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
General Responsibilities
- Pull tarp before, during, and after games and on non-game days, as needed
- Assist other departments with implementation of game-day events and game-day logic
- Assist in tracking and completion of maintenance and improvement projects
- Assist with upkeep and service agreements of HVAC, plumbing, electric, security system, elevators, scoreboard, videoboard, sound system, fire sprinkler system, and trash removal
Game Day Responsibilities
- Inspection of facility to ensure superior fan experience prior to gates open and during games
- Supervise cleaning crew to ensure job is completed to Keys standards
- Setup barrier for firework shows
- Turn on power to video board, score board, and ribbon board
- Assist Stadium Operations Manager and clubhouse manager with game-day clubhouse duties
- Assist with the management of gameday staff – Ushers, security, EMT, parking lot attendants, fun zone, picnic host, birthday party host, and bat boys
Non Game-Day Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory of stadium capital, supplies, cleaning products, and stored goods
- Assist with day-to-day stadium operations: reception of stadium supplies, quality control of cleaning and maintenance, light maintenance duties, landscaping duties as needed
- Help with the preparation of the stadium for all events
