In Home Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to Local Veterans in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various healthcare settings, including but not limited to Nursing Facilities, Home Care settings, and family caregiving and will be skilled in delivering high-quality care to patients with diverse needs. This role is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for our Veterans while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with prescribed health regimens.
• Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to family members or healthcare professionals.
• Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safe travel to appointments or activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in various settings such as outpatient clinics, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and inpatient care to ensure comprehensive care delivery.

Skills

• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to care practices in environments like OR (Operating Room), medical-surgical units, and emergency medicine.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience while providing care in a home setting.
• Proficient in basic first aid and CPR techniques.
• Experience working within a Home Care setting or similar healthcare facility is preferred but not required.
• Capability to adapt to various client needs, including those requiring specialized care or assistance related to outpatient services or clinic visits.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
