Responsibilities:
- Perform welding duties on tubular and structural metal frames. weld, grind, and finish parts for powder coating.
- Produce a strong penetrated weld that is non‐porous and consistent.
- Use fabrication skills to make products that meet drawing dimensions. The finished product should be square, level and accurate to drawing and should be free of welding spatter, weld undercut or heavy grinding marks.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.5. Effectively communicate with team members regarding material inventory, shop supply inventory, and product scheduling.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Understand and apply standard welding techniques2. MIG weld steel
- MIG weld steel
- Familiarity with vehicle construction and chassis
- 5 years direct experience of automotive conversion
