What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at Freese and Nichols, Inc.?
• Prepares complete sets of drawings that involve multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings of equipment, facilities, or systems where minimal information is provided by rough sketches and/or verbal outlines of requirements. Incumbent utilizes either manual or computer-assisted drafting/design techniques. • Reviews manufacturers’ or fabricators’ prints for conformance with contract specifications. • Determines material needs and makes necessary calculations using accepted formulas and references. • Supports field assignments as required. Qualifications Required Qualifications Experience: 6 years of experience performing CAD functions in a 3D environment. Aptitude for mathematics, reading drawings and maps, and a high degree of computer and BIM/CAD software competency. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in BIMCAD preferred.
