Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Interpret financial reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
-Preparation of income tax returns (1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S, 1065)
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis
- Experience with account reconciliation and financial report interpretation
- Familiarity with SOX compliance requirements
- Previous experience in public accounting or related field is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Proficient in using Adobe, accounting software (Thomson Reuters, Quickbooks, etc) and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of technical accounting standards is a plus
- Familiarity with payroll processes and financial services is an advantage
