French & Parrello Associates is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work at their Wall, NJ Office. Candidate should be experienced in designing and specifying electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting design, grounding & lightning protection, and fire alarm. Job requirements and responsibilities include:
Job Requirements:
- Experience or proficiency in the utilization of AutoCAD
- Revit BIM modeling experience is a plus
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliability
- Ability to work in a team environment or individually
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and pass a background check
- BSEE from an accredited college or university
- 4 years minimum experience in the design of Electrical systems
- Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Electrical bid/permit documents, including plans and specifications
- Experienced with Power Distribution, Lighting design, Lighting Control, and Fire Alarm
- Perform detailed electrical calculations: load calculations, voltage drop, lighting calculations, and short circuit study
- Perform field survey to document the existing conditions for electrical and fire alarm systems
- Specification editing and modification
- Inspect completed installations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications
- Construction administration services including shop drawing review, performance of site inspections and preparation of punch-lists
- Candidates shall be capable of working with minimal supervision
