Job Description Summary
The Group Leader position supports the supervisor with monitoring order picking and returns, receiving, shipping activities, work flow, inventory issues, visitor/driver control, and daily assignments of the Warehouse employees. This position reports to the Supervisor, Warehouse or designated supervisor.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT

• Appropriately allocates manpower resources to ensure the proper and timely execution of both scheduled and unscheduled production orders daily. This includes but is not limited to accomplish the task of receiving, picking, verifying and putting materials along with cycle counting activities.
• Supports communication of instructions and initiatives from management to warehouse crew.
• Leads the daily production to pick materials required to support the production schedule.
• Oversees shipping activities to ensure that all orders picked are shipped when requested.
• Ensures that all materials are staged and ready for truck driver to transport.
• Coordinates deliveries and requirements with the truck drivers.
• Ensures that all SAP transactions actions have been confirmed for materials picked and/or put away.
• Helps to identify possible improvements in physical or system processes.
• Coordinates special projects on assigned shift.
• Covers as the point-of-contact and shift lead for shift supervisor for time off and vacations.
• Effectively communicates with Supervisor regarding feedback pertaining to personnel performance or questions and concerns.
• Achieves and maintain Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC, Qualified Trainer status; serves as the warehouse’s active powered industrial equipment trainer.
• Able to train employees on all aspects of SAP required for Warehouse position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse or leadership position
• Good working knowledge of all functional areas of the warehouse.
• Good SAP knowledge and some knowledge of Microsoft Office products with spreadsheet applications (Excel) skills.
• Solid math and effective problem-solving skills with demonstrated use of sound judgment.
• Good communications and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and lead a team.
