JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the HR Manager, the labor coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily temporary employees. This position supports HR team on the labor personal side by acting as the bridge between staffing agencies & the company, the bridge between temporary employees and department managers, being the first point of contact for temporary and full-time employees and any other miscellaneous functions.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and oversee the daily temporary employees this includes: assigning temps to a line/area/position for the day, set up new temps on line/equipment, train on GMP process, etc.
- Send emails to staffing agencies, leadership, etc.
- Work closely with staffing agencies to maintain labor efficiency within staffing budget to meet production goals
- Listen to the employee attendance line and record all call offs for the day
- Run and send out daily reports such as: punch detail report, headcount report, staffing level reports, etc.
- Communicate out to managers and leadership on a regular basis reports, daily employee call offs, objectives, transfer requests, etc.
- Walk the production floor to take headcount of temporary employees and verify the positions working each day
- Log hours worked for temporary employees
- Update Attendance Point Tracker per call offs
- Assist with verifying invoice from staffing agencies
- Assist with labor costs to make sure the temp number is not over budget
- Ability to understand, follow, and enforce company policies such as: GMPs, SOPs, safety, etc.
- Perform training as needed
- Assist with handling issues related to temporary employees such as: transfer requests, conversions, complaints, etc.
- Attend daily production meeting and other meetings as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a fast-passed manufacturing warehouse/office setting. Employee is routinely exposed to wet/cold conditions of roughly 34 degrees Fahrenheit. The noise level within the warehouse and production floor is usually moderate to occasionally loud, which requires hearing protection.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work in a respectful manner and be a team player
- Experience within manufacturing or a warehouse setting is a plus, but not necessary
- Office experience preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, Outlook
- High level initiative and follow through
- Detail oriented and great communication skills
- Available to work a Monday – Saturday schedule
- Bilingual - English/Spanish is required
