Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team! In this role, you will diagnose and treat psychological disorders, teach communication skills, assist patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors, and guide them through crises. **Positions are available within the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, as well as within Harford County Public Schools**
Responsibilities
- Perform intake assessments
- Provide mental health therapy for individuals, couples, families, and children
- Create individualized treatment plans for each client
- Use evidence-based treatment methods to facilitate group and individual treatments
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plan
- Perform crisis intervention as needed
- Adhere to all facility and licensing standards
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or similar field
- Current and unrestricted licensure (i.e. LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, LCPC, etc.)
- Previous experience as a mental health therapist preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

The dream included pouring into the next generation, restoring families, and strengthening communities through mentorship. We envisioned a life of growth and abundance for each client we serve, as we taught, counseled, and linked each client with an array of persons and services that will help them shed old habits, heal from traumas, and move forward towards independence and lasting change- a Fresh Start!
Since 2013, David has worked as a PRP Counselor and Supervisor at a few organizations in Baltimore City. He’s helped his clients with everything from housing, food, and securing entitlements to losing loved ones to acts of violence, run away youth, and domestic violence. David remains the first call for many of his former families, long after they’ve discharged from the programs where he works. He is passionate about the youth, but has a knack for connecting with people young and old.
Tekora is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience providing individual, group, couples, and family therapy. She has been an advocate for foster youth, victims of domestic violence, and sexual abuse. Tekora successfully managed a prestigious Intensive Outpatient Program for adults who struggle with substance abuse. Tekora is passionate about counseling/therapy and helping her clients find their voice. She has an ability to meet clients where they are and encourage and empower them to desire change.
Together, David and Tekora created Fresh Start Therapeutic Services as a safe place for individuals and families to start anew.
Salary : $60,000 - $85,000
