Responsibilities
- Safety of warehouse and shipping personnel.
- Supervision and training of all warehouse associates.
- Oversees and manages the receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping of raw materials, finished goods and imported merchandise.
- Responsible for accuracy of finished goods, merchandise, and other inventory as assigned. Scope may also include these activities at subcontract service providers.
- Ensures timely shipment of all customer orders and other shipping needs.
- Strategic planning for logistics and warehousing
- Management of department expenses within established budgets.
- Develop and promote the training and development of employees, as applicable, and ensure annual performance appraisals are completed for each employee.
- Commit to and drive continuous improvement activities..
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Business Admin, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related) or the equivalent of 10 or more years demonstrated Supply Chain Leadership in warehousing and logistics.
- Minimum 5 years management experience in warehouse operations in manufacturing environment including supervision.
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain logistics - domestic freight, exports, imports, cycle counts, inventory management.
- Able to motivate, lead, train, and manage a team of hourly associates.
- Able to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with JDE and/or SAP; warehouse management systems; scanning equipment.
- Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Compliant Pro, SharePoint, etc.
