THE POSITION
Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an experienced litigation associate capable of handling complex litigated matters to join our growing team. We are looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals, who will bring a strong work ethic and eagerness to grow alongside the firm.
QUALIFICATIONS
- JD from an accredited law school;
- Admitted to practice in New Jersey;
- At least six (6) years of civil litigation experience in federal and New Jersey state courts;
- Experience with mortgage foreclosure law, secured transactions, FDCPA, state and federal consumer protection laws, and general commercial litigation preferred;
- Experience with depositions, trials, and complex litigation preferred;
- Superb legal analysis, legal writing and editing, and oral advocacy skills;
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills;
- Excellent technological skills, including knowledge of and experience with various computer software programs and case management and electronic discovery platforms; and
- A strong preference will be given to applicants with experience in federal court and appeals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end;
- Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects;
- Regularly handle court appearances and depositions (virtual and in-person);
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports;

Garden City, Long Island or fully remoted located in NJ
COMPENSATION
Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with experience. We also offer a full benefits package, including medical/dental/vision, 401k with match, and transportation reimbursement. We have monthly Happy Hours and host quarterly team building events.
Salary : $112,000 - $142,000
