Friendship House is opening a new Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program in the Agencies new Whole Person Care Center at 415 Biden Street, Scranton, PA. The program is designed to provide psychiatric rehabilitation services to individuals 18 years of age and older in the life domains of living wellness, learning, working and socializing.
A Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist will provide person-centered interventions based on the individuals plan. The goal is to help individuals develop skills that will allow them to engage in the community, develop meaningful roles and have lives that bring them joy.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years work experience in mental health service or a high school diploma and 4 years work experience in mental health services, 1 year of which must be work experience in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services. Candidates with CPRP certification are preferred; if not this certification must be attained within 2 years from the date of hire. Or:
• An associate’s degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service.
• A CPS certificate and 1 additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service.
• A high school diploma or GED and 2 years work experience in human services which must include 1 year of mental health direct service
Salary : $19 - $24
