Friendship Village of Dublin is looking for motivated professionals to become our next RN Clinical Manager! The RN Clinical Manager is responsible for the planning, coordinating and administering of all services and operations of the Home Services department of FVD. They are also responsible for program development, financial operations, and compliance with laws and regulations, and staffing.

- Establish, and ensure compliance with, standards and procedures for the Home Services (HS) department to ensure safe operations and high quality service, while complying with all federal, state and local codes, laws and regulations, including the Corporate Compliance Program.
- Establish and ensure the implementation of departmental goals, objectives and procedures for the department. Responsible for providing input and insight for HS strategic planning.
- Coordinate with Human Resources regarding staffing needs, interview and select candidates, and approve pay rates and start dates for new hires.
- Promote team work within the HS department and between other departments, through open communications, welcoming new hires, properly training those in your department, special departmental programs to recognize employees, and assisting when and where ever needed to ensure smooth operations and high quality service to residents and coworkers.
- Supervise caregivers and nurses to ensure appropriate care is given to residents. Conduct regular staff meetings to facilitate communication; take disciplinary action with appropriate follow-up (consulting HR as needed). Maintain adequate staffing levels and performance levels. Select, supervise, train, coach and evaluate all HS employees.
- Maintain current Care Plans for each client; review on monthly basis. Communicate all Care Plan information and changes to appropriate persons.
- Conduct weekly and special Nurse Clinics for Independent residents, within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act.
- Provides requested transitional care to Independent residents when discharged from the Health Center or hospitals, in a timely manner.
- Report all admissions of clients to hospitals to the Health Center’s Admission Coordinator.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork for billing of all AIL and Companion services are completed on a timely basis.
- Remain current on issues related to safety and health, especially with respect to the duties of Home Services staff, which includes but is not limited to, knowing the MSDS information on all chemicals used, knowing where MSDS and other safety information and protective equipment is kept, and the policies and procedures of the Disaster Plan Manual.
- Partner with Wellness Director to conduct health fairs.
- Ensure all communication and information materials regarding Home Services to residents are accurate and current.
- Communicate with other departments regarding possible resident needs; effectively assist residents in determining and agreeing to receive services (often involves working with family members of the residents).
- Conduct regular departmental meetings and training sessions to ensure all HS staff members meet yearly requirements. Ensure that staff is refreshed on, knows and follows facility and departmental policies and procedures. Ensure that all staff members are customer service oriented at all times to all residents/clients and family members, coworkers and guests.
- Schedule all HS staff for facility required annual training and emergency drills, and/or conduct make-up sessions to ensure all HS staff are trained each year.
- May perform duties of Office Coordinator, or any other position, as circumstances require.
- Ensure that at least one staff member is adequately trained and informed of operations and communications in your absence.
- Ensure high quality health care and services for residents by getting feedback from staff members, family members, and residents; working with HS and other departments to make all necessary improvements. Implement and enforce a continuous quality assurance and quality improvements program.
- Ensure proper safety procedures are established and followed at all times. Remain current on all issues related to employee safety and health, keeping abreast of changes on state and OSHA requirements and informing the staff where appropriate.
- Annually assist with HS budget under direction of Health Services Administrator and Executive Director, maintain all appropriate records and ensure HS operations are within the established budget. Inform Health Services Administrator of any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
- Supervisory and health care experience preferred.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and work well without constant direction.
- Must have ability to react in a positive and spontaneous manner and evaluate and respond appropriately to the needs of residents, staff, visitors, and vendors.
- Must be able to handle a multiplicity of routine tasks, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completely.
