What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Friesen Group Inc?
Maintenance
The Maintenance Technician will carry out routine site visits and inspections of all properties, check all equipment/systems, electrical, plumping, HVAC, irrigation: perform maintenance, repair malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures. Will maintain buildings and landscaping to specifications & standards, and respond to tenant repair requests. Will perform landscaping and grounds keeping work as needed on weekly schedule, and coordinate subcontractors as needed for specialized work.
Communication and Professionalism
The Maintenance Technician will interact regularly with tenants, vendors, and the public, and be expected to represent J3 with exceptional customer service and professionalism.
Project/Task Manager
Review and complete tasks as assigned from task lists and follow-up as necessary. Take initiative on projects to assist managers or others as needed.
Requirements:Experience
- Familiar with maintenance, and landscaping work.
- Also familiar with a variety of building systems, including plumbing, irrigation, electrical, and heating systems, and maintains the interdisciplinary skills needed to keep commercial properties looking clean, professional, and safe. Competency in safe operations power tools.
- Preferred Self-motivated problem-solver with excellent organizational and communication ability.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure
- Valid Drivers License, Clean DMV Record required
Special Skills
- Required Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift 25-30 pounds. Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Teams. Capacity to safely work at heights above 8 feet.
