What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Frontier Direct Care?
JOB SUMMARY: Our clinic is looking to find a highly relational and exceptionally thorough Medical Assistant who will go the extra mile and serve the patients at our mission-minded Direct Primary Care family medicine clinic. At Frontier Direct Primary Care, we serve a limited patient panel, so each patient gets the same care and dedication. As a result, our patients get treated like family.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome patients to the office with care and attend to patient needs thoroughly
- Prepare and update patient records through EMR
- Answer simple questions related to health and medications
- Coordinate care based on physician orders
- Anticipate physician needs related to patient care and set him or her up for success
- Draw blood, handle and prepare all lab specimens
- Respond to patients’ calls, texts, and emails
- Make home visits as needed
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and order supplies as needed
- Work well with other clinical staff
- Assist in various clerical responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current unrestricted nursing license (required)
- 2 years’ experience as a nurse (preferred)
- Fluent Spanish speaker
