Description
This position assists consumers obtain and maintain employment that is consistent with their vocational goals. The Employment Specialist engages consumers and establishes trusting, collaborative relationships directed towards the goal of competitive employment in community job settings with other workers who may or may not have psychiatric disabilities. This position is also responsible for assisting consumers in obtaining information about their benefits (e.g., SSI, VA, Medicaid, etc.) and how they will be affected by employment in order for consumers to make good decisions about employment opportunities. Qualified candidates must be able to maintain progress notes and documentation according to agency and regulatory standards.
This is a full time, non-exempt, union position with a minimum starting wage of $18.00 per hour.
The hours are first shift, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree in social services or related field required.
Valid Ohio driver’s license proof of automobile insurance also required.
